With all the hype currently buzzing around the Australian athletic scene it was great to see local talent contesting events at the recent Australian Athletics Junior Championships from 15 to 20 April 2026 at the Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre, Brisbane.

It was a new experience to Tyson finding himself in a final being telecast on TV. With goals to become Australian Champion and compete at the World Champions he better get use to the lime light.
There has always been a strong athletics presence locally and the Gladstone and District Sports Foundation Trust is proud to see local athletes succeed on a National Level.
