Tighe recently travelled to Coffs Harbour NSW to compete in the U/14 National Youth Soccer Championships. From his performance at the championships Tighe gained Queensland Squad selection.
The highlight of the experience from Tighe was getting to walk out on the field before the Socceroos game against NZ at Suncorp Stadium.
Tighe has been playing for local club BITS since he was 5 and acknowledges the impact of coaches Paul Blomfield and Mark Delaney, that have helped prepare him to work with some great coaches and staff at Football QLD.
Whilst Tighe enjoys many other sports like Tennis, fishing or volleyball, his sights are firmly set on making the QLD team for the U15’s next year.
