In September 2025 both athletes competed at the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics team at the National Clubs Carnival on the Gold Coast.
Elle-Jaye had amazing results on day 1 of the competition qualified the team into the Division 1 final for day 2. Each member of the team performed their routines on all four apparatus and overall, they placed 5-6th on every apparatus. The most outstanding result was their All Around 3rd Place as a team for Level 8 WAG.
Elle-Jaye commenced kinder gym when she was 2 years old. She has been involved in gymnastics since then. She started competing in 2019. Elle-Jaye is very committed and dedicated to her gymnastics training and competing. Looking forward Elle-Jaye’s next goal is to compete at the Queensland Gymnastics Senior Championships in May 2026, and she has a goal to be selected into a Queensland gymnastics team to compete at the National Gymnastics Championships in Sydney in July 2026 or the Border Challenge Competition
Gemma also contested level 8 gymnastics routines and competed over two days and was successful in placing 3rd place overall in Australia. A highlight of the event was getting to meet Australian Olympic Gymnast Ruby Pass. Gemma has her eyes set on competing at Level 9 at a State and National level this year before progressing to level 10.
The Gladstone Gymnastics Team have had great success at a State and National level in recent years and the Gladstone and Districts Sports Foundation Trust is proud to support their athletes to keep chasing their dreams and excel in their sport.
