| Destiny was selected to complete at the 2024 Australian Junior 8-Ball Championships. The QLD team went through the round robyn undefeated and won against Tasmania 17-11 in the Quarter Final to go straight to the Grand Final where we met South Australia in a rematch from last year. We were defeated in the final 17-14 and are 2024 Australian Junior Runner’s Up. |
In the Under 18 Girls Singles Championship I came 2nd overall for the placings and I was defeated in the Semi Final by Tiarna Knight 5-3. Destiny’s highlight was playing and being a part of the QLD team. The Team bonded so well together and they cheered each other on and were there for each other. It was such a great feeling as a team.
Destiny list Andy Barnett as her sporting hero. He played for QLD in the Senior Nationals and he made the Australian side to play at the World Championships in England. He and his family are now travelling around Australia and he is helping to train Juniors where ever they stop and stay at. Andy has always sent me messages of encouragement and is always willing to give advice. Destiny’s future goal is to make the QLD Women’s State team to play at that level and the Gladstone and District Sports Foundation Trust wish you every success to achieve your goal.
