In May Coen McNamara was selected for the Queensland Team at the Australian Gymnastics Championships. Coen and his fellow QLD Teammates won Gold, 1st place. The MAG Level 7 Under awards are given based on the scores combined from both days.
Coen had a great competition, his first time at the Australian Championships, supporting his team to bring home GOLD!
Coen competed better on the 2nd day of competition with improved results on almost all apparatus.
A Highlight for Coen was the opportunity to met and talked with Pommel Horse champion Vedant Sawant while at the competition. Vedant supported the Level 7 Under team both days they competed and was a wonderful mentor to the team.
Coen also met and talked with Mitchell Morgans and Clay Stephens about gymnastics and preparation for competitions.
Coen was at the 2nd day of Senior International Competition at the AGC and was able to watch these three champions plus Jesse Moore, James Hardy, Heathe Thorpe and Zachary Perillo. They are all inspiring and amazing to watch in competition.
Coen has made great friends with his fellow Level 7 Under teammates and is looking forward to meeting up with them again at various competitions throughout the year, with hope to compete as a team again next year.
