Leila Dinsdale (Gymnastics)

Ariana is a Level 7 gymnast at Gladstone Gymnastics Club and after several outstanding performance and CQ and State competitions was invited to attend the Team Future Clinics with Gymnastics Queensland.

Leila stated that for the highlight of the opportunity has been the confidence she has gained as a gymnast and the new skills she has developed during the clinics. She also valued the opportunity to make new friends and work with experienced and inspiring coaches.

Ariana began gymnastics at just two years old at a club on the Gold Coast, where a coach recognised her natural ability from an early age.
When our family relocated to Whyalla, a rural town in South Australia, she continued her gymnastics journey and commenced WAG (Women’s Artistic Gymnastics) training at 2½ years old.
After moving back to the Gold Coast at six years of age, Ariana was training and competing in Level 2.
Following our move to Gladstone, she progressed to Level 3 WAG and has continued to develop her skills and commitment to the sport ever since.

Ariana credits her incredible coaches and parents for the progress she has made and their support has shaped her journey.

Whilst Ariana gymnastics hero is Simone Biles, she see her next challenge in progressing to senior gymnastics as a level 7 is to perfect her skills and qualify for states working towards placing on an apparatus. Meanwhile she has her mind set on becoming an Olympian.

It is great to see Ariana grow her skills, progressing through the levels and the Gladstone and Districts Sports Foundation Trust, hopes to see you at the Olympics in the future.
