In May Jared was fortunate to be selected and participate in the U14 Boys Australian representative futsal tour to the United Kingdom
The team had a total of 12 matches during their tour winning 5 matches, drawing 3 and lost 4 matches. Jared was awarded Player of the Match three times, and selected as team captain team for the tour. He was also excited to be recognised as “The Best on Ground Player”, for the tour.
The highlight of the tour was definitely winning the Wrexham Cup, held in Wales. Touring through the beautiful parts of the UK was great. I really enjoyed the sightseeing too.
Along with his favourite player Nick Pope, the Newcastle United Goalkeeper, Jared also credits the mentorship from his dad and Peter Souvlis, Head of AFA, Central Queensland and Col Brealey, tour coach.
Jared’s future sporting goal is to be reselected for the Australian representative side again next year, and then hopefully to represent Australia in the Senior side in the future.
